MISCARRIAGE & INFANT LOSS
Amber's Story
Amber experienced the loss of twin boys, Sean & Liam, in 2008 on her birthday. She experienced a deep depression and was disillusioned by the lack of support and resources in the San Antonio community. In the spirit of being the change, she founded The Shine On Remembrance Run in 2018. Shine On is a 5k walk/run that raises awareness and brings together others who have experienced miscarriage and infant loss.
Ignited by her own story and the stories of the Shine On families, Amber began her journey back to school for a Masters Degree in Counseling. She completed an internship at The Children's Bereavement Center of South Texas and trained with Birch & Branch, expanding her knowledge in treating complex grief. She is passionate about helping others and continuing to build San Antonio's miscarriage & infant loss resources.
